A bit about me....

Although I had always dreamed of becoming a vet, life initially led me in a different direction. I spent 20 years working as a Human Resources Consultant before finally returning to my true passion: working with animals, and especially dogs.
Dogs have always been part of my life, and as a child I was deeply affected by seeing strays on the streets, often wondering how anyone could abandon them. It wasn’t until I moved into my own home and welcomed two Border Collie puppies that I truly began to understand how overwhelming canine behaviours can become. Their separation anxiety, reactivity, and destructive behaviours quickly took over my life, home, and relationships. Eventually I sought help from a Dog Behaviourist and within just 48 hours of following straightforward techniques, I saw a remarkable improvement. That experience opened my eyes to how crucial it is to understand canine communication and it planted the seeds for my future career change.
After retraining as a Dog Behaviourist, I founded Hounds ’n’ Harmony in 2016 and continued to expand my knowledge, including further training with the renowned Jan Fennell. In 2017, following the sad loss of my own dog, I introduced exclusive dog boarding to my services. Most recently, in November 2024, I added Kinesiology to support owners with their training journey.
